My students need hands on math centers to develop their reasoning skills. Mathematic performance an early indicator to student academic achievement for their entire school careers. Math is a big focus at my school and we are working hard to ensure students have the resources they need to think critically and independently when analyzing math problems. The supplies will be avaliable for students to manipulate while working through their math stations, along with in depth instruction during guided math. These centers will provide my class with a fun and engaging way to dive deep into math skills while interacting with their peers. Small group instruction with the tools will provide students with a clear understanding of how to manipulate the centers, while the stations provide students with the opportunity to learn from each other. Giving my students the chance to explore these centers in their classroom will not only excite them about learning but also enrich their experience in math!
