By definition, an "Itinerant Teacher," moves from classroom to classroom. This new "inclusion" teaching model allows special education students to be included with their typical-learning peers. This model has been proven to promote acceptance and academic growth for all students involved and I am very excited to participate in it. A laptop computer is necessary so that information gathered in various locations is accurately captured, data recorded and progress understood. A teacher must be mobile and able to not only teach children in various environments, but we must also be able to make observations, take notes, document behaviors and record data to later evaluate our children's progress.
