With this remote learning start of the school year, students will have many hurdles to overcome to be as successful as they can. Students will each receive a take home bag of manipulatives to help them practice each of the math standards being taught. The headphones will also be a valued tool for ALL students to have to help students be able to hear instruction and have fewer distractions. Some students have multiple siblings that are all online learning at the same time due to the school schedule and they can’t hear the instruction, follow directions and focus on their learning because there is too much else going on in their environment with nowhere else for them to go. With the help of this project, I will be able to add to their home learning environment by providing them with the necessary tools to be successful in remote learning. I would like to provide my students with a "Welcome Back to School" bag full of great learning materials to help get them excited for the new school year. The block and cube math manipulatives will be used throughout the year many times. The headphones will be a big help with helping students hear instruction and have fewer distractions. I am excited to deliver these to my students' homes personally to welcome them to my class.
