With this Donors Choose project, I will be asking for throwing dummies for my youth wrestling team. These dummies will allow my students to practice wrestling throws and wrestling takedowns in a safe manner, lowering the injury risk of practicing takedowns on each other. The techniques learned will help my students succeed at tournaments and other competitions. My students practice twice a week and compete at tournaments every weekend. My goal this year is to help build confidence and strength within my students. I will be encouraging teamwork and a supporting environment. With these throwing dummies, students will continue to show growth in the wrestling techniques and skills.
