Each year in second grade, we hatch chicks as part of our animal life cycles unit. In the past, we have received the supplies from a local provider. Unfortunately, their supplies are limited this year. I would like to provide my class with the experience of hatching chicks with a brand-new incubator to ensure success and make it a fun and positive experience. Students will be able to see first hand the birth of a live animal, they will care for these chicks until they are old enough to go to a local farm. This is a once in a lifetime learning experience for most of my students. Thank you for providing my students the chance to enhance their learning.
