These much-needed headphones will support my students, many of whom are special needs and are easily distracted. The headphones will afford my students a means to increase their learning by giving them an opportunity to eliminate background noise, increase their focus and simultaneously lessen the potential transmittal of any communicable diseases from having shared devices. My students will be able to focus on the academic material at hand, and not be distracted by their immediate environment especially in the current virtual setting where they are spending most of their time at home. This will avoid background noises of parents, siblings, and multi-media technology. Plus in this technology-literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the technology.
