We are using a wonderful technology tool called Seesaw to create online portfolios. Within Seesaw I can send out activities for the students to complete and post to their portfolios. Students can also take photos and video of their work to explain it, and then post it for me, and their families, to view. There are many other ways using Seesaw is revolutionizing our learning and our ability to share it with families. We need iPads to use Seesaw for creating digital portfolios. Currently, our class of 22 students is sharing 4 very old iPads. My hope is to have an iPad in the hands of each of my students for countless learning opportunities including (but not limited to) Seesaw. Hands-on learning is at the heart of everything we do in kindergarten, but I also know how engaging technology is for my students. Ipads will give students a way to demonstrate their learning while having the opportunity to use technology to do it.
