The students I service are all working on improving their communication skills; however their needs are diverse. Some students are working on remediating speech sounds through articulation therapy and practice. Others are working on using words and pictures to request basic wants and needs. Areas of intervention extend to fluency of speech, grammar, expansion of sentence length, comprehension skills, phonological awareness development and reinforcement, social skills awareness and practice, and assistive/augmentative communication strategies. All of my students benefit from using visually engaging, dynamic, and interesting materials during each session. For that reason, I am constantly implementing new ideas, tweaking visual supports, and targeting their objectives in a way that is fun as well as meaningful. Materials gained through this site will only further assist me in providing these needed services.
