The need for calculators, dry erase boards, and rulers will help my students a great deal by providing them with the necessary tools for solving numerous computational and application problems. For instance, students need calculators to help with calculations of formulas and equations. Additionally, working with a diverse group of students from various backgrounds, some students are unable to get calculators. A class set of calculators for my project will benefit students by allowing all of them to participate in the activity. The use of mathematical tools will also prepare my students for state standardized testing. Students must be comfortable using calculators testing. My students do a lot of group & station activities. These mathematical tools will help students become proficient in meeting math standards.
