All of these activities will stimulate my students creativity! STEM activities are very vital in a child's learning process. I have noticed a large lack in creativity in my students in the last few years. Education is such an important part of a child's life and creativity is a stepping stone for learning many new things! My students do not have many activities that allow them to use their brains to create and build projects. These activities are fun but also educational for all my students! The Jumbo Magna Blocks will allow my students to build life size structures and buildings. This will help them learn how to work together to get a structure to stand alone! The smaller Magna Tiles are great hands on for child to learn how to put smaller shapes together to make larger composite shapes. This is a standard in my grade level. Students can learn their 2-D, 3-D and composite shapes all with the Magna Tiles. The Stem Science Stations will allow the students to do hands on Science activities. Due to such strict Reading and Math focus, our science focus is weakened. This will allow daily/weekly science exposure for all my students. Design and Build engineering centers is a great stepping stone for the future engineers. Engineers are in high demand and this will allow future engineers to begin their future at a young age! Create a design chain reaction is a fun and educational game for the child. This makes the child use their logic and strategy to keep the structure from falling. We don't have many activities that require a student to use their own strategy to figure out a solution. All of these items will be so beneficial to my students.
