Students will be able to read a memoir called ‘I Am Malala’ by Malala Yousafzai. She was shot in the head by the Taliban while standing up for education. I chose this book because it is truly inspirational. Our students face so many obstacles and challenges each day. I want them to see that they, too, can overcome any challenges life throws their way. Students will read a truly inspirational story written by a young woman, who is not much older than they are. The only thing I need for my class right now is 25 copies of the books that students can use.
