My students are predominantly Hispanic and from a low socio-economic background. Some, sadly, may live in the local shelter that this school houses. My students are bright, energetic, curious, and love to learn. Unfortunately, they don't have a lot of support from home due to their parents' language and education levels. My job at school is to make certain that all students have access to our curriculum and I need them close to me on a rug to make certain that everyone is attentive and comprehending lessons throughout the day.
