I definitely found my niche when I began teaching 4th grade math and science! I enjoy teaching this age level, and I love the curriculum and skills that I have the opportunity to help my students learn every day! I work in an amazing Title 1 school in a low income community. Many of the children are on free or reduced lunch, and some receive food for the weekend through our Backpack Club. Many of my students face obstacles in their home environments, but they are eager to learn and strive to meet high expectations. They enjoy hands-on activities and opportunities to use technology. My goal is to provide a classroom that is safe, caring and consistent as well as to prepare my students to be successful in 5th grade!
