My students and their parents (along with school admin and maintenance) have created a beautiful nature trail. They've decorated fence posts, installed a sensory walk, built raised planters (which are empty), and created an outdoor classroom with benches and a platform. What our nature trail needs now is some actual NATURE. We'd like to plant vegetables and herbs in the raised planters and create a "butterfly ally" where students may release the butterflies they raise during their unit on metamorphosis. Our administration has committed more help with the possible construction of a rain shelter if we can populate the trail with vegetation and create the butterfly alley. Please help us reach our goal!
