Currently, my classroom chairs are not all the same and not in safe condition. Many of the chairs have uneven legs (causing them to wobble uncomfortably), chipped pieces of wood (scratching the students' legs) and loose or missing parts. My students use seating in several areas of the classroom throughout the day. In addition to sitting at their assigned tables for written work, my students rotate through work stations/centers where comfortably sitting is necessary. My students need new chairs to be seated more comfortably while listening and working throughout the day. Having a safe and comfortable learning environment is key to allowing all students perform to the best of their abilities. Both my students and I would be so excited to walk into a more uniform-looking classroom where we can comfortably work and learn together.
