My students are full of energy, and love to move! Many of these students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool or daycare in a group setting due to the pandemic. As a result, many of them are unable to safely manage their bodies in a classroom setting. They need this additional support to fill the gaps in their social and emotional learning. They specifically need support to refine their gross motor control, which will help them learn how to physically exist in the classroom in a way that is safe for both themselves and others. Providing and option to "get their wiggles out" with wiggle seats and wobble chairs will also help them better focus on their academic tasks.
