Currently, our school does not have a library. Teachers are expected and have to buy their own books for their classroom libraries. I have spent almost a thousand dollars over the last year to ensure my kids have books to read. However, they consume everything I give them! This year alone, I have had kids go up 6-8 reading levels, and therefore, I need to add books to my library. I also would like to increase the diversity of the library so that my kids will benefit from more representation. I have selected books that I know my kids love and have requested that I get for them.
