The carpet will offer our students several different benefits such as; a comfortable spot to sit on during whole group instruction activities. This will allow students to feel a sense of belonging in the classroom. The carpet will allow the teacher to read stories to the children, build positive learning experiences for students, engage in meaning conversations with students to further their thinking such as, turn and talk. Our students are transitioning from home to school. The rug provides students with a warm, safe, loving, colorful environment similar to students homes. Lastly, it provides a feeling of family in the class community.

About my class
