My students love listening to all different kinds of books! I would love for them to have a CD/Cassette Player that they can use everyday in literacy centers. Kids love putting on headphones and listening to a story or sing along with a book. My military kids live far away from their extended families and often times have a parent deployed. They enjoy sitting with classmates and listening to stories! They smile, laugh, and sing along. This can help their learning in so many ways: expressive and receptive language, tracking, sight words, and learning to read for enjoyment! Reading is one of the most important things we can give our children!
