These resources would allow for months of engaging lessons for multiple grade levels, ranging from Kindergarten all the way up to 5th grade. This type of project is not economically possible without the support of donations. The drums and MakeyMakey will allow students to learn concepts such as reading music (staff notation and chords), singing, chord and pop song structure, and playing as an ensemble, pitch, harmony. These lessons would be extremely interactive and cater to all types of learning and abilities. It would enable students to develop critical thinking skills, teamwork, and collaborative skills. This project will teach students about musical and social collaboration, help boost confidence, and give students ownership of their own education.I owe it to my students to give them the best lessons possible.
