In my class we always begin with research. We are learning the ins and outs of relationships within a food web, food chain and energy pyramids. My students need these tablets to research food webs in the different ecosystem and investigate the relationships within that system. This is a highly tested area on the 8th grade STAAR test and being able to use technology to support their learning would greatly improve their understanding of relationships in food webs. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. It is hard to teach technology without technology tools
