The biggest indicator of academic success is a student's amount of vocabulary that they have by the time they enter 3rd grade! Our English/Language Arts computer program, Lexia, ensures that students are increasing their vocabulary and language acquisition daily. Lexia provides students with individualized lessons and hands-on practice. For every lesson a student completes, the teacher receives a detailed report on instructional activities that need to be implemented in small groups. This program is incredible, however, it can be difficult to gauge students' development accurately when a majority have trouble hearing and completing their lessons. The addition of quality headphones would allow our students the opportunity to fully engage with the program. Students who are confident readers and learners online produce confident readers in the classroom!
