Industry leaders in graphic design are often masters of the graphics tablet. My students have not seen an update in this critical tool in a decade or more. We have a handful of old tablets that range from outdated to obsolete. Some have become inoperable from years of use. Some of our tablets are so old the software is obsolete and unsupported. My goal is to train tomorrow's industry leaders in graphic design. To accomplish this, my students must move beyond the computer mouse. The mouse hinders drawing capabilities, especially among students with a strong art background. The Wacom Art tablets that I would like to obtain for my students will unleash my students drawing and painting capabilities. Students without a strong background in art can learn to draw through the use of a tablet as well. Won't you help us move beyond the mouse?
