When our school flooded, myself along with most of our teachers lost a great deal of teaching materials. Most materials took years of teaching to collect. I lost many of my leveled reading books, manipulatives used for centers, and a class set of privacy shields. I used my leveled reading books to teach Guided Reading. Guided Reading is small group instruction with leveled readers and plays a huge role in the success of reading fluency and comprehension in first grade. Please help me replace the books, manipulatives, and privacy shields I lost in my classroom due to Hurricane Harvey. By selecting my project, you will help my current students and future students for years to come become successful readers. Thank you!
