My students have and use different learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The portable desks are perfect for kinesthetic learners, giving them a choice of using one while standing or sitting. A bonus is the ability to take them any where - other classrooms, hallways, even outside! The headphones are perfect for auditory learners but they also allow others to be more focused on listening without distractions. Being able to write notes or perform calculations using a re-usable dry erase lapboard and markers is perfect for visual learners and also provides some kinesthetic benefits as the boards are small and portable. All students need to be taught the way they learn. These items will provide my special education students a means to learn that is best suited to their unique learning styles, take more responsibility for their own learning and be more successful in school.
