This furniture will be a replacement for some of the classroom furniture lost due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Kindergarten is the first year in many students academic careers. Students thrive when they are in a comfortable and colorful environment. This furniture will help to bring color and opportunities into our bare classroom. Even though our recovery from this devastating disaster will take time, the education of my students can not be put on pause. My students will be able to gather daily at these tables to participate in literacy centers and writing activities, which will enrich their minds and give them opportunities for their imaginations to grow.

About my class
