Now that I have an iPad to record and edit videos so that students can view lessons through their phones, I am asking to fund the keyboard to enable this device to be a second device. I am requesting the magic keyboard so I can use my laptop to turn my iPad into a second monitor which allows me more functions during live Zoom classes. My students in East Oakland are ready to learn virtually! Getting an iPad would allow me to record and edit videos that they can more easily access through their phones. Apple has the software that allows me to add closed captions and differentiation tools to support my newcomer students and struggling readers. My experience in the spring showed me how important it is for them to have multiple points of access and modalities to learn independently.
