Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income children, providing children with a developmentally appropriate early childhood education. I have been with Head Start for 26 years and all but 4 years have been in this same classroom. I have 17 three and four year old children in my class. The children attend school 5 days a week for 5 hours and 40 minutes per day. The children learn many things is their Head Start Classroom and enjoy coming to school.
