Imagine walking into a classroom of 10-year-old students, all of them ready to have their beloved 15 minutes of silent reading of their choice book. Once they have finished reading, they responsibly change gears and put away their book and exchange it for a Chromebook in order to complete Intervention programs like Lexia and Think Through Math. Our school is very supportive of our students, but like many schools these days, funds are spread quite thin. My students have been using Chromebooks so effectively that I have to do is to continue this momentum. My students are amazing! I am so impressed with their level of maturity and willingness to see a traditional subject like English in a new, more modern angle with the inclusion of Chromebooks. My entire class participates in the Interventional programs of LEXIA and Think Through Math. We need as much technology as we can get to provide students with the time necessary to succeed. By generating funds for a few Chromebooks at a time, we will soon have enough technology for each student in the room. Thank you so much for considering donating toward the project! Your generosity is greatly appreciated by my students and me.
