I want to provide a classroom environment that encourages a love for reading and growing as learners. I would love for my students to get lost in good book and to look forward to our independent reading time each week. Currently students sit at their desks for independent reading time, with only a few other options for flexible seating. I would love to be able to offer a literacy corner that is inviting, comfortable, and enjoyable. This place would emphasize to my students that reading is special. My students’ love for reading is growing. I would like to continue this momentum!
