The value of being able to physically see what you have created is indescribable. Many students get the chance to program characters on screens and games, but rarely get the opportunity to physically and visually see what their programming can really do! With these robots, they would be able to watch their hard work come to life! The students will be able to experience successes and failures all the while determining where they may need to fix their mistakes. These robots would be used in small group settings which would allow the students to get a close look at how coding and programming works. It is an experience many students would remember for a lifetime! They will code the robots to move in certain ways and perform certain actions. They will physically see that they are creating movement based on a language that robots can read. I will also use these as a way to complete review questions for tests and have them direct the robot to their answers. The possibilities are endless!
