My goal is to transition Hursey Elementary's traditional media center into a modern and effectively utilized learning commons that will become the hub of the school! The materials on this list will allow my students to become 21st century learners. The furniture will provide a comforting environment that promotes literacy and cooperative learning. I plan to have a children's area and a juvenile/young adult area. The games, arts and craft supplies, puzzles, and blocks will be used in makerspaces, which promote creativity and STEM skills. My students will use these spaces and materials daily to grow academically, socially, and intellectually. Teachers will also be able to use these materials in their own classroom on a daily basis. Please help me transform Hursey's media common into an amazing learning commons Hursey students deserve! Any supplies on this listed is GREATLY welcomed and appreciated!
