I would like read-along books for my classroom. Read-along books come with a CD of the book itself. By playing the CDs, the students can follow the words of the books and read along with the book. I am an inclusion and resource teacher, and I believe this is the best option for the students I serve. Read-along books also help build and increase student word vocabulary. I personally found that read-along books increase my students' ability to read more books on their current grade levels. However, the ultimate goal is to help my students meet their Accelerated Reader goals and enjoy reading while doing it independently.
