These books will make a great impact for all of my students. Because I am only a second year teacher, I don't have many books. Many of the books that were left behind in my classroom are leveled books that are just too high for my students. These books will allow me to work in small groups and/or individually with my students. This will give my students the confidence they need to become successful in other areas such as Science and Social Studies. Because of their low reading levels, they are not able to access grade level curriculum successfully. They need these books to help them raise their reading level so they can move up to grade 5 with the specific reading skills that will help them continue their academic success.
