Everyday students are writing in class to demonstrate mastery of various subjects and topics. Students do not come to class with pencils. As a teacher I provide students with pencils every single day. However, each week I go through at least 2 dozen pencils. This basic item is getting difficult to provide to students. Most people take this for granted. Most people imagine all students come to school with the most basic supplies, such as a pencil. However, the majority of the students do not even bring a pencil to school. School supplies should not be an obstacle for students to overcome. Therefore, I give out pencils each and every day of school. As the year goes on I run out of supplies and I must continue to purchase pencils. Please help to provide this basic item to my students.
