We need books that will allow my students the chance to read books that they are interested in. Students don't always want to read, so they need books they like and that are engaging to encourage them. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. With these new books, my students will be able to read as a group, complete projects, practice writing, and utilize higher level thinking. We are requesting class sets of Percy Jackson and The Maze Runner. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more. Students are more likely to read and retain book that they enjoy. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
