The students in my class crave an engaging environment! An engaging environment provides multiple opportunities for various types of learning. Every child learns different as their teacher it is my responsibility to provide them with effective learning tools. The listening center allows students who are auditory learners to stay engaged during reading and begin to build independence. The various learning folders will allow students who are tactile learners to manipulate materials to deepen their understanding. As well as the sensory table manipulatives. The stools allow for choice in where the student will like to learn while staying on task. Puzzles are vital to building high level thinking. It builds spatial awareness skills that will assist in learning to read, write, and solve mathematical problems. Puzzles allow students to work together or independently to complete a task. In conclusion this is my first year teaching kindergarten, I want to make it as memorable for me as it will be for my students. All of these materials will have an everlasting impact on each students success in their education.
