During this project, students will be looking at the experiences of immigrants from different places. Using the book, "Inside Out and Back Again," students will be creating an op-ed for a newspaper that explains their position of whether immigrating to the United States is worth the trip. They will use evidence from the anchor text as well as other articles to support their argument. The end product will be a student-ran news website that includes their personal editorials. Their final product will emphasize the quality of their claim, their use of evidence to support the claim, and the analysis of their evidence.

About my class
