You can help by providing my students with headphones. This will help my struggling readers by allowing them to listen to audio books on their Chromebooks. Research has proven that following along with the words as you hear them being read aloud improves students reading success. Our school district is trying to improve our reading scores. Reading is an essential part of everyday life. Listening to audio books will make reading more fun, therefore my students will be more motivated to learn. Improving reading achievement means that more students will be able to graduate and be more productive in our society. Most families in our school cannot afford to purchase their own headphones.
