I would like to design a collaborative work space inside our school library. This space, "Makerspace", will be a place for students and staff to learn and explore. Having a 3-D printer will give students the ability to create and learn new skills through trail and error. It will help to promote innovative thinking by challenging our students to develop a concept, create a prototype, and build their project. Students will begin to think "outside the box" and it will help boost higher level thinking. Students will begin to see themselves as inventors, builders, and creators. With a 3-D printer, students will be able to bring their creations to life.
