My 5th- graders are an astounding group of adolescents. I feel truly blessed to teach each of the 80 students in my class. Throughout the school year, my students work diligently to increase their overall understanding of mathematics. We do this through team collaboration, utilizing hands-on manipulatives, as well as integrating various strategies to appeal to every students personalized learning needs. I also started The Kindness Club at Poland Middle School, which positively affects students in grade 4 through 6. Every year, I am so proud of the strides my students make in both math class and Kindness Club. The main lessons I hope to teach my students while they are in my classroom is to always be the best you that you can be. If my students try their best every day and are kind and caring to their peers, then I have exceeded my expectations.
