My students are inquisitive learners and love to read. As we continue with remote learning, digital resources remain available; however, students are unable to check out physical books from our library. Despite ongoing circumstances, these materials can be used for learning from home in that I intend to use the books for read-alouds. Once we return to the classroom, these titles will be put in circulation and available for students to check out and explore on their own. These culturally relevant books will make a huge difference in my students' learning in that they present diverse perspectives, which is lacking in the majority of traditional children's literature.
