My students are bilingual English New Language Learners who often do not interact with the English language beyond our school. This school year I will be teaching in a Bilingual/Special education environment. In order to truly differentiate my teaching & address all the needs of my students, I will need to incorporate more technological resources in my teaching. We are a Title 1 school, meaning our children & nearly all of my learners, are currently living below the poverty line. Many students do not have access to technological resources at home or in the classroom. It is up to the teacher to introduce how to properly use iPads. With your donations, you are exposing an underprivileged population of NYC students to resources that will help build their scientific & math literacy. Learning with interactive technology like iPads benefits both English New Language learners & students with special needs in my class.
