The flexible seating options will be available to students each day as they enter our Special Reading classroom. For some, the best fit seating choice may change regularly and for others it will remain the same. Yet, having a choice and giving students the opportunity to decide which seating option is best for them is a great way to begin class! Students in my classes typically need to make one and a half times growth as their peers in the area of reading just to catch up; seating that allows wiggles and bounce will increase engagement time and focus. Bounce bands, seat discs, stability balls do not make for better readers, but they will help struggling readers to focus and work on becoming great readers. Thank you for your consideration in giving them a choice in their seating and supporting our classroom.
