Our classroom is blessed to be a 1 to 1 technology class this year, having access to a Chromebook for each student. However, we do not have headphones to use with the Chromebooks. These Chromebooks are allowing us to become a 21st-century classroom that utilizes personal learning strategies. We need headphones so that my students can effectively use their Chromebooks. Our school will be using Zearn Math for our math curriculum this year. Zearn offers a personalized learning experience for children by providing an independent digital lesson for each student. My students need headphones and flexible seating options, so they can maximize their learning experience. Chromebooks provide limitless opportunities to target individual learning in the classroom. However, without enough headphones we are limited. Students can't listen to books online. Math lessons or games must be muted since students are all using different programs. My students love using their Chromebooks every day to learn, and this has led to much success in my classroom. I know headphones and flexible seating options would greatly increase this success and help my students compete with 21st-century learning.
