Designing an autism-friendly classroom is never easy. My students are uniquely made and require individualized support and instruction. Items such as chairs for flexible seating, manipulatives for hands-on learning, and sensory items for calming the body, are needed for differentiation. My students are noticeably more engaged when given the proper tools needed to help them succeed. During technology instruction, my students have shown to be more attentive when given headphones. In addition, my students have benefited from the use of items such a timer, clocks, flashcards, puzzles, and visual aids. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them flexible seating options. The products will also enhance their overall learning creating an autism-friendly​ classroom they deserve.
