Trying to use technology in our classroom is both frustrating and time consuming. Attempting to log on and use our antiquated computers for small group intervention, or testing makes my students unenthusiastic about using technology on a daily basis in our classroom. Students are usually excited to be given computer time but not in our class and I would desperately love to change that. I have a large refugee population at my school and most of these students struggle with the English language. For these students and my other low income students, School based computers are their only opportunity to use a computer, and in a technological world like ours, computer skills are of the utmost importance. I have to administer periodic tests on the computer, and having working tablets available to my students would make testing less stressful which would increase test scores. BY GIVING THIS GENEROUS DONATION, YOU WILL BE ENABLING ME TO ENCOURAGE MY STUDENTS TO SOAR!
