I have 55 students in fifth grade who come from diverse rich backgrounds. Though most of my students were born here, their first languages range from Spanish, French, Tagalog, Turkish, Thai, Arabic, Korean, Dutch and Mandarin. My students bring to class a wide range of cultural experiences, strong character to overcome adversity and different language and academic abilities. In my class, we explore and build up our strengths and work on our weaknesses. In order to do so, we need technological resources and supplies to help us visualize academic content and to share our experiences. These children are curious, work hard, and are eager to learn! Please, help us achieve and exceed expectations in school and beyond!
