My wonderful students are presently sitting on a bare, cold wooden floor during classroom introductions at the meeting area. Unfortunately, I had to remove the previous rug because my students were reporting that they were getting bites while sitting on the rug. This was not an environment that was conducive to focusing and learning. However, sitting on a bare floor for 10 to 15 is also not very conducive for learning. Having a nice cushy, clean rug will make it a confortable and conducive learning place. It will also make my room colorful and inviting for the children in class.
