This school year is like no other. My distract has gone 100% Virtual for at least the 1st marking period. While I prepare for the best ways to help my first graders learn virtually, I realized that a document camera is essential to help my students achieve their goals. With such young students visual learning is key! A document camera will help me show books that they need to read along with since they do not have the physical books with them to read. This will help them to learn how to read and build their fluency. It can also help me prerecord any videos to share with them and show any other worksheets or assignments. In addition to a document camera I have been using Teachers Pay Teachers to buy a lot of digital resources for my students. I really believe that having a document camera in addition to digital resources from Teachers Pay Teacher will help to enhance my students virtual learning.
